Our film was originally going to be a comedy, but it was hard for us to think of a plot without turning it into a rom-com, so we just went with it. Our film Oh My Guru is going to be about an asian teenage girl who is very unlucky and clumbsy and falls in love with a white boy.

We particularly liked the kind of narration that is in Angus Thongs and Bridget Jones as it adds character to a film and we get a better sense of what the main character is thinking or feeling. In particular, we wanted our main character, Anisha, to be able to actually talk to the camera. Good, these film fit very well with the genre of your film. Use them as inspiration when you are editing as well.
